Responsibilities
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Sourcing.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Sourcing deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Sourcing challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Resolve moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Sourcing deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal personnel in Sourcing to achieve objectives.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships of high risk or complexity.
- Establish and implement cost reduction strategies to improve category effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Customize legal contract language to anticipate technology, market, and business issues.
- Control all aspects of negotiation and set negotiation strategies.
- Support acquisitions, including negotiation reassignment on high-risk contracts.
- Educate and act as a resource for Contract Analysts regarding risk issues and vendor disputes.
- Partner with business units to issue and evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and ensure successful implementation of agreements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive management, vendors, and third-party lessors or manufacturers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Sourcing or Procurement experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong experience in contract interpretation, drafting, and negotiation.
- Proficiency in financial analysis of pricing proposals.
- Ability to gather business requirements and recommend sourcing strategies.
- Skill in reviewing proposed contract language, identifying risks, and recommending strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).

- Experience with contracts for Software Licenses (on-premise and vendor-hosted).
- Experience with contracts for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Experience negotiating pricing for software license renewals.
- JD and/or sourcing certification (helpful but not required).
- Experience negotiating agreements on behalf of highly regulated entities (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
