About the role
The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions in adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring proper function and readiness of ultrasound equipment.
- Performing ultrasound examinations and documenting procedures accurately.
- Conducting studies independently, including on-call, portable exams, and at different sites as needed.
- Assisting with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages, and performing vascular imaging if required.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, perform diagnostic imaging, ensure quality and safety standards, and support clinical procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate degree or equivalent from a trade school.
- Certification as RDMS or equivalent; CPR and RDCS certifications preferred for less than 2 years of experience.
- No prior experience required, but relevant certifications are essential.
