Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality ultrasound images of internal organs, vessels, fluid accumulations, masses, and developing fetuses.
- Record findings and communicate preliminary diagnoses to radiologists or cardiologists.
- Ensure images are transferred for interpretation and checked for quality.
- Support the expansion of emergency services by providing accurate ultrasound imaging in a high-volume, technologically advanced environment.
- Contribute to patient care and diagnostic accuracy in a busy trauma and emergency department setting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Credentialing as an RDCS, RDMS, R.T.(S)(ARRT), RCS, or similar within one year for new graduates.
- For Radiology, ARDMS or ARRT certifications are accepted, with specific registry requirements within defined timeframes.
Skills
- Knowledge of ultrasound procedures.
- Ability to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
