Sonographer - OB / GYN , per diem
Job Description
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies, provides a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management, and uses independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making & prioritizing assignments.
Demonstrates the ability to develop & maintain collaborative working relationships with all team members & medical staff.
Actively guards confidentiality of sensitive info. including but not limited to the patients, staff & the health system.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or registered with equivalent ultrasound experience required
- Certified with ARDMS required
- BLS certification required
- BS degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred
- Registered in OB/GYN within one year
- Registered in Abdomen preffered
- Maintains professional credentials specifically related to Sonography & participates in continuing ed. activities through professional societies & orgs.
- Nuchal Translucency and CLEAR certification preferred
- Minimum of one year Ultrasound experience preferred

Pay
Pay Range: $39.60 - $50.60 per hour

Based on experience

- Sits or stands for long periods of time.

- Must be able to perform without physical limitations.
