Sonographer ARDMS
About the Role
HCA Florida Blake Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This position operates on a day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner.
- Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images.
- Maintain statistical results for quality improvement.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results.
Qualifications
- A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program.
- Valid ARDMS certification; RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or ARDMS AB (abdomen specialty) or ARDMS OB/GYN within 1 year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
