Solutions Architect IV (AWS, .Net, C#)

About the role
The Solutions Architect IV oversees multiple dimensions of assigned applications and/or capabilities, including stability, life cycle management, version control, design and development, mapping of business requirements to capability-oriented technical requirements, and ensuring technology solutions to business needs are developed in accordance with the architectural roadmap, guidelines, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end solution architectures from conception through delivery into production.
- Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions.
- Participate in the design and modeling of architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects.
- Collaborate with other domain architects to provide scalable and adaptable architectural solutions.
- Develop roadmaps to align IT priorities with business partner requirements and strategies.
- Promote the reuse of services, components, frameworks, and infrastructure as code to reduce costs and improve information flow.
- Support team members in designing deployment strategies and solutions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify code, architectures, and vendor dependencies.
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with technical decision-makers within Technology.
- Make recommendations to improve application operational efficiency and enhance program usage.
- Lead the design of both physical and logical components of solution architectures for positive business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with architectural principles and patterns in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
- Oversee technical analysis and design capabilities.
- Provide feedback to Enterprise Architecture on potential deviations or necessary modifications to architectural principles.
- Work closely with Cyber Security to address network, application, and data security requirements.
- Understand non-functional requirements that may impact solution architecture.
- Ensure solutions are observable and secure by design in collaboration with software delivery teams.
- Work with business stakeholders and site reliability teams to create service level objectives and agreements.
- Provide consultation on complex projects and coach junior-level architects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field and seven (7) years of enterprise solutions and/or technical architecture experience; or a High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of related experience.
- Experience with N-tier architectures and complex design architectures.
- Proficiency in Agile methods.
- Experience with technical application and information architecture delivery techniques and methodologies.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Advanced knowledge of security design techniques.
- Proficiency in using design patterns to align business requirements with technical strategies.
- Familiarity with documentation standards such as BPMN and UML.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Go, C#, Rust, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms and serverless architectures (AWS, Azure preferred).
- Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift preferred).
- Familiarity with observability frameworks and platforms (OpenTelemetry, DynaTrace, Splunk preferred).
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Understanding of organizational technologies (e.g., Middleware, .NET, J2EE, Oracle).
Certifications
Certifications in the technology domain of the enterprise.
