About the role
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design of scalable technology solutions that support distribution and logistics operations in North Brunswick, New Jersey. This role will connect business needs with practical system architecture, with a strong focus on enterprise integrations, cloud-enabled platforms, and operational technology improvements. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to guide initiatives from solution design through successful deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement integrations across internal applications and external partner systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
- Create technical solutions that support customer onboarding by connecting enterprise platforms with customer and supply chain applications.
- Work closely with vendors, partners, and internal teams to establish dependable data exchange processes and resolve integration challenges.
- Contribute hands-on development and configuration work to deliver architecture designs in alignment with technical specifications and project goals.
- Partner with operations, transportation, customer service, distribution, and finance teams to identify process improvements and apply technology-driven solutions.
- Support the enhancement and rollout of logistics platforms, including warehouse, yard, labor, and transportation-related systems.
- Architect cloud and hybrid environments in collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to strengthen availability, resilience, and continuity.
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing solution designs, advising delivery teams, and promoting sound architecture standards and best practices.
- Embed security considerations such as access control, encryption, monitoring, and auditability into solution designs while participating in risk and compliance reviews.
- Assist with software evaluations, vendor selection activities, project planning, and prioritization of technology initiatives across the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of IT experience, including substantial background in solution architecture, enterprise applications, or technical architecture.
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise application integrations using APIs, middleware, and related integration technologies.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or transportation processes within complex operating environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud architectures.
- Technical background in application architecture and development, including .NET, ASP.NET, and API-based solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and project leadership.
- Experience supporting or enhancing WMS and other logistics technology platforms is highly valued.
