Solutions Architect
About the role
The Solutions Architect role within CoreSite is a key member of the Sales Executive team. This role involves partnering with sales teams to understand customer requirements, positioning network fabric services, and driving adoption and revenue growth for CoreSite's network fabric services.
Responsibilities
- Partner with CoreSite’s sales teams to gather and understand customer requirements, identify emerging business needs, and effectively position network fabric services to drive revenue growth, increase product adoption, and uncover incremental network services opportunities.
- Assist in the development of solution proposals by creating technical diagrams, architecting CoreSite solutions that address customer challenges, and crafting customer-specific value propositions that demonstrate cost optimization, scalability, flexibility, performance, and resiliency benefits.
- Provide technical leadership during solution deployment, onboarding, and operational adoption, ensuring successful integration of CoreSite's data center interconnect, internet, and network fabric services.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, providing proactive guidance from solution discovery through implementation, adoption, optimization, and expansion to maximize customer success and satisfaction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to analyze evolving customer requirements, feedback, and market trends, ensuring CoreSite’s solutions remain competitive and integrate with our customer value proposition.
- Influence product strategy, roadmap development, and customer value propositions through data-driven insights.
- Represent CoreSite at technical forums and industry events to promote thought leadership, increase awareness, enhance brand recognition, and communicate the business and technical value of CoreSite network services.
- Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s culture and core values.
Requirements
Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment that includes at least two (2) onsite days per week in the downtown Denver office, currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays for in-person collaboration.
Flexibility to travel up to 20%, with the potential for increased travel, spontaneous travel, or in-office presence as business needs evolve.
Strong understanding of IP and Layer 2 networking, including peering and carrier-neutral interconnection architectures.
Familiarity with major cloud providers' well-architected frameworks and best practices for designing scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Demonstrated success implementing hybrid cloud solutions, such as AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, Oracle FastConnect, and Google Cloud Interconnect.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across sales, engineering, and product teams, as well as with external customers and partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Confident presentation and public speaking abilities, with experience delivering solutions to customers, executives, or industry groups.
Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and aligning technical solutions that deliver business value.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and attention to detail in solution planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of data center networking, cloud interconnect, or related carrier/network services experience, including work in colocation environments, carrier hotels, or cloud on-ramp facilities.
- Cloud certifications (i.e., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate) are a plus.
