Solar Sales - Retail (PM SHIFT)
About the Role
The Retail Associate engages homeowners at retail locations, educates them about residential solar energy, and schedules qualified homeowners for in-home consultations with Solar Consultants. This customer-facing role is ideal for outgoing, energetic individuals who enjoy meaningful conversations. Success is measured by generating high-quality appointments that lead to completed in-home demonstrations and help homeowners save money through solar.
Responsibilities
- Engage shoppers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Educate homeowners on the benefits of going solar.
- Qualify homeowners based on company guidelines.
- Schedule qualified homeowners for free in-home solar consultations.
- Maintain a positive and professional representation of the company.
- Accurately record appointments and customer information.
- Consistently achieve appointment and performance goals.
Schedule
- Approximately 30 hours per week.
- Five (5) six-hour shifts each week.
- Typical shifts: 9 am–3 pm or 3 pm–9 pm.
- Required to work Friday–Sunday.
Pay
Hourly plus commission. Retail Associates earn commissions based on completed sales generated from appointments they originate.

Requirements
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
- Weekend availability as scheduled.
- Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales experience is helpful but not required.
