Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet all customers as they enter the store and thank them as they are leaving
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation within the department
- Provide personalized customer service within department
- Promptly and courteously answer phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate person or department
- Ensure every item has a SKU and is priced
- Set ad merchandise in accordance with promotional guidelines
- Ensure price changes are completed as directed by BPM
- Execute merchandising plans as directed by BPM or store leadership
- Avoid the store being uncovered, merchandise being faced, and product rotation occurring on dated goods
- Aid in restocking freight and ensuring adequate amounts of merchandise are available
- Aid cashiers and perform cashiering functions as needed
- Uphold all company policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks and duties as required by supervising manager

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Education And/Or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous retail experience preferred
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
