Soil Quality Control Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician with a background in agriculture and/or soil science. In this position you will work individually as well as working with salesmen, managers, landscaping companies, and landscape architects.

Responsibilities

• Collect components for soil mixes
• Create soil mixes and mail out samples to various labs for testing
• Download test results and send to salesman
• Post results on shared drive
• Work through specs for upcoming jobs
• Generate custom mixes for jobs
• Sieve soils that need to be ran through sieve shaker
• Calculate gradation and generate a report
• Weigh different materials
• Work in the field as well in the quality control lab
• Be in charge of all certifications for all certified products
• Collaborate with other departments
• Work with salesmen, managers, landscaping companies and landscape architects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Bachelor's in Soil Science preferred
• Knowledge in agriculture and/or soil science
• Work individually or with a team
• Lift over 70 pounds or more
• Use various lab equipment (pH meter/EC meter, Texture Analysis in house)
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds or more
