Job Responsibilities
- Cover conduct inspections and testing of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design and specification requirements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC reports and submit findings to project and operations leadership.
- Manage QA/QC records and documentation for assigned projects in accordance with company standards.
- Perform quality checks on suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
- Identify and investigate non-conformance issues, recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and verify implementation.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and field leadership to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance field performance and compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to field teams and trade partners on quality standards and documentation practices.
- Ensure all QA/QC work aligns with company safety policies and industry regulations.
Required Knowledge, Education, And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC, construction, or mechanical systems environments.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, CAPA).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related QA/QC software systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on active construction sites and in varying environmental conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Availability to travel as required to project sites or vendor locations.
