Software Engineering Intern

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and develop a system to extract, transform, and load financial data from diverse sources
• Create models to normalize inconsistent data formats and map accounts across different datasets
• Develop functionality to compare financial statements, identify variances, and highlight key drivers and anomalies
• Implement data validation and reconciliation logic
• Create user-friendly outputs such as dashboards and automated reports
• Integrate with existing tools like Power BI, Excel, and ERP systems
• Ensure scalability, performance, and data accuracy
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to refine business logic and requirements

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills
• Experience with data processing libraries and file parsing (e.g., Excel, CSV, PDF)
• Knowledge of machine learning or AI techniques for classification, anomaly detection, or mapping
• Understanding of financial statements and FP&A processes
• Experience with databases (SQL, data warehouses)
• Knowledge of automation frameworks or RPA tools
• Experience building internal tools or analytics products
