About the role

This position requires a strong background in software defined radio architectures, commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, and software configuration management tools. It also demands expertise in Python, Eclipse IDE, Google Protocol Buffer, model-based design, service oriented architecture, and Linux OS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, addressing problems in hardware, software, and databases within RF collection and processing systems.
  • Implement complex signal processing algorithms adhering to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen with a TS/SCI clearance and active polygraph.
  • Twelve (12) years of direct/relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Four (4) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with Software defined radio architectures (e.g. SCA, REDHAWK, or GNU), commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, software configuration management tools (e.g. GIT, Clearquest, Trac, or Subversion), Python, Eclipse IDE, Google Protocol Buffer, model-based design (e.g. Matlab, SIMULINK), service oriented architecture, and Linux OS.

Qualifications

  • Write software using C++, Java; suggest other languages as needed to solve problems.
  • Advanced understanding of the Linux operating system.
  • Identify problems in any part of an RF collection and processing system to include hardware, software, databases.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequence of design.
  • Design / implement complex signal processing algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
