About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this senior technical role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and scaling our AI-first data computing platform. This position is not solely execution-focused; it requires strategic thinking, technical depth, and the ability to translate innovative ideas from concept to production. You will work across the technology stack, applying modern tools and frameworks to build high-performance, secure, and scalable systems that support decentralized, real-time AI workflows. As a leader, you will guide architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with product, design, and executive teams to align technical initiatives with business goals. Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in high-performance software development environments
• Proven track record of shipping complex, end-to-end systems
• Deep expertise in one or more systems programming languages such as Go, Rust, Kotlin, etc.
• Strong fundamentals in backend engineering and distributed systems architecture
• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and observability
• Disciplined approach to testing, CI/CD pipelines, and long-term maintainability (TDD preferred)
• Ability to convert ambiguity into robust architecture and reliable code
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining trade-offs, writing technical specifications, and mentoring engineers
• Bonus: Experience with edge computing, Web3 protocols, real-time data infrastructure, or AI/ML systems

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale core backend systems and APIs that enable decentralized, real-time AI workflows
• Own the developer experience by building SDKs, CLIs, and interfaces to facilitate easy interaction with the platform
• Rapidly prototype and productize features using modern front-end and back-end tools like Cursor, React, and TypeScript
• Provide technical leadership through guiding architectural decisions, conducting design reviews, and mentoring engineering team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and leadership to ensure technical solutions align with company vision and user needs
• Drive key projects from inception to deployment with autonomy, accountability, and a bias for action
• Maintain high standards for system performance, security, and scalability while ensuring ease of maintenance and extensibility
