Software Engineer (React.js, Java)

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions for new initiatives, resolving complex issues within existing systems, and elevating the overall engineering quality through thoughtful architecture and mentorship.

You will have broad ownership of significant areas of our platform, influencing technical direction and ensuring the platform remains flexible, maintainable, and high-performing. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge challenges related to distributed systems, data modeling, and application architecture in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Your expertise will directly impact the stability, scalability, and functionality of our configurable platform, helping clients achieve their strategic objectives effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in building and maintaining large, mature codebases
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring framework (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Experience with Rust or similar languages is a plus
• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems like Kafka
• Experience working on multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and related services
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and make pragmatic engineering decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on simplicity and system health

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable features and solutions for complex, configurable enterprise platforms
• Lead technical initiatives from conception through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Identify and resolve cross-cutting technical challenges across services, teams, and architectural boundaries
• Mentor and review code from team members, raising the engineering bar through thoughtful feedback and best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and leadership to shape product features and technical strategies
• Ensure platform stability, performance, and security by implementing robust architectural solutions
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve system health and developer productivity
• Maintain a focus on simplicity, avoiding unnecessary complexity in system design and implementation
