Software Engineer
About the role
The Software Engineer role at Empower involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications throughout the software development lifecycle. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, develops software features and components, troubleshoots complex issues, participates in code reviews, and contributes to design and architecture discussions.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and test software features and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine software requirements.
- Lead coding efforts for specific modules or features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions.
- Use AI to augment software engineering work, including development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and productivity improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience and/or training.
- 2 - 3+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Python development.
- Experience with ELT tools.
- Experience with AWS tools and cloud-based development practices.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Qualifications
- Experience with Agile principles.
- Experience with Java, Swift, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience across multiple projects and development cycles.
Skills
- Proficiency in Python development.
- Experience with ELT tools.
- Experience with AWS tools and cloud-based development practices.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

Pay
Base Salary Range: $96,100.00 - $135,700.00
