Software Engineer (React.js, TypeScript)

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Engineer, Front End, to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of complex, impactful software solutions that enhance our digital presence. As a key technical leader, you will influence cross-functional initiatives and product outcomes by providing expert guidance, establishing best practices, and mentoring our talented front-end engineering team within an agile environment. You will play a crucial role in shaping our technical direction, ensuring the delivery of modern, high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software aligned with our product goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Expert knowledge of React and React Router frameworks
• Experience with component libraries and frontend architecture
• Deep understanding of Javascript testing libraries such as Vitest and Playwright
• Expertise in accessibility principles and front-end performance optimization
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and development tools like Docker, Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience with Deno is preferred
• Proficiency with Visual Studio Code and Chrome DevTools
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and system scalability
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision for the front-end team aligned with product objectives and business goals
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of modern front-end solutions from conception to launch within an iterative development process
• Drive technical design discussions, contribute to robust and scalable system architecture, and ensure best practices are followed
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure successful delivery
• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure seamless integration of solutions
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability
• Conduct thorough code reviews, promote knowledge sharing, and foster a collaborative team environment
• Mentor front-end engineers, supporting their technical growth through constructive feedback and guidance
• Address complex technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative solutions to mitigate risks
• Ensure high standards for documentation to enhance team efficiency and system maintainability
• Stay current with emerging technology trends and proactively identify opportunities for process and stack improvements
