Software Engineer - multiple levels - FULLY CLEARED with POLYGRAPH REQUIRED

About the role

Constellation Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a software developer. This position requires a strong background in web application and user interface (UI) development, with expertise in Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Java cryptographic framework, XML, and web UI technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java Frameworks, J2E, Python, C++, Oracle, MongoDB, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Java, Python, and embedded C/C++.
• Design and implement user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Work with multiple Java frameworks including Spring Boot, Data, JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet, and others.
• Develop and integrate databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Implement and manage software source control and configuration management tools.
• Develop and test cryptographic systems and systems using XML, XSLTM.
• Develop and deploy applications on Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Develop and maintain web services.
• Participate in agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Document and decompose requirements, perform trade-offs, and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required.
• At least four (04) years of direct/relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e. Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, etc.) or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated in-depth experience with Java, experience with multiple Java frameworks, and experience with multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
• Experience with development IDEs such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Experience with Web Application User Interface Development, knowledge of databases and structures, Spring Framework, and/or experience working with AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLTM.
• Experience with software source control and configuration management tools.
• Experience with technologies underlying cryptographic systems (symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, ASN.1 encoding, XML canonicalization, digital signatures).
• Experience developing on Windows, and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with web services.
• A strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices.
• Ability to plan and prioritize personal tasks and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Independent thinking, ability to perform high quality work, both independently and with a team in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) (i.e., EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX-B, JAX-RS, JAX-WS), SQL, application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss), Spring framework, scripting.
• Experience or familiarity with multiple of the following technologies: XML/XSD/SOAP/WSDL/XSLT, REST, JSON, YAML, Containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with Javascript frameworks: AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery.
• Experience with Testing and Mocking frameworks: JUnit, Jupiter, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, Unified Functional Tester (UFT), Selenium, FITNesse.
• Experience with build tools: Maven, CMake, RPM, Jenkins, Nexus.
• Experience with high level requirements management including requirements decomposition, secure systems engineering and development, trade-off analysis, interface control, testing and continuous integration.
• Experience in software development on Agile teams using Agile Developer practices such as Pair Programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), Refactoring, and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience with Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, SAFe Agilest Certification, or experience as a member of an Agile team.

The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
