Software Engineer Intern
About the role
Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking a skilled intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of software development, including cloud services, automation, containerization, machine learning, and user interface design.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance APIs and backend services in a cloud environment.
- Create scripts and tools to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring workflows.
- Design and manage Docker-based solutions for portable, reproducible development and production environments.
- Implement monitoring and analytics pipelines using machine learning and AI to surface system health and usage trends.
- Design and code intuitive web portals and dashboards for enterprise management applications.
Requirements
- Recently completed (within the past 6 months) or currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Software Engineering or a related field with applicable coursework.
- Experience building web services and applications with Golang, Rust, NodeJS, MySQL, Vue, React.
- Familiarity with Linux and shell languages.
- Strong interest in pursuing a design and development career path.
- AWS, Docker, and CI/CD experience preferred.

Pay
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $24.20 to $38.50. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base wage offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
