About the role

Sola is transforming the way work is done through AI agents that automate workflows effortlessly. We currently power enterprise workflows for Fortune 100 companies and are seeking talented engineers to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end, from customer request to design to production, making thoughtful tradeoffs across frontend and backend
  • Collaborate with our CTO and ML research partners to bring state-of-the-art agentic features into production
  • Work on a wide variety of frontend surfaces, including the browser extension recorder, workflow editor, and dashboard analytics reporting on workflow execution
  • Design and build the backend APIs and services that power the editor and integrate with Sola's AI orchestration and execution platform
  • Partner with product and design to craft intuitive, delightful user experiences for both technical and non-technical users

Requirements

  • Fluent in TypeScript, Python, and React, and confident moving between frontend and backend
  • A strong background in client-side technologies with a focus on UI/UX quality
  • Experience with production systems, including reliability, monitoring, and performance
  • Expertise in AI coding tools and a willingness to innovate and improve processes
  • Open to working 5 days a week in our NYC office (relocation support provided)

Qualifications

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where quick problem-solving and ownership are key
  • Hands-on experience operating at an early-stage startup, with a track record of success in ambiguous situations
  • Specific experience in React, Typescript, Python, Kubernetes, Temporal, Postgres, and DynamoDB
  • Experience building enterprise SaaS features such as SCIM, RBAC, and audit logging, and integrating with enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of browser extensions or session capture technology
  • Passionate about creating impactful user experiences and contributing to a small, dynamic team
