About the role

An experienced Software Engineer 4 is sought to support the development, administration, and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for technical debt remediation, ServiceNow engineering and development, platform administration, and Level 3 production support. The ideal candidate will possess ServiceNow development expertise and an understanding of platform architecture and security.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript and platform development best practices.
  • Support technical debt remediation efforts to improve platform maintainability, performance, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and security requirements.
  • Manage ServiceNow users, groups, roles, permissions, and basic platform configurations.
  • Provide Level 3 production support for platform issues and incidents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform defects, configuration issues, and integration failures.
  • Configure and maintain tables, forms, lists, fields, dictionary entries, and user permissions.
  • Work within Agile delivery teams and manage development activities through Jira.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow platform development and administration experience.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow JavaScript development and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform configuration and administration.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external applications using REST APIs.
  • Experience managing users, groups, roles, and access controls within ServiceNow.
  • Experience performing ServiceNow code reviews and enforcing development best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and managing work through Jira.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing ServiceNow cloning activities and instance upgrades.
  • Experience with MID Server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience developing and maintaining ServiceNow reporting and dashboards.
  • Experience building and supporting Service Catalog items and request forms.
  • Familiarity with platform performance optimization and governance practices.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise ServiceNow environments.
