Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks.
- Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements.
- Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related engineering fields.
- 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven technical experience in building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Expert knowledge of transactional and/or NoSQL databases.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of distributed systems and concepts such as strong consistency, ACID semantics, etc.
- Familiarity with consensus protocols such as Paxos and Raft.
- Experience delivering highly scalable REST or Microservices.
- Ability to learn quickly, strong analytic skills, passion for driving for results, and strong customer empathy.
- Deep understanding of data structures, designing algorithms, data models, programming patterns, and solving complex issues.
- Experience leading and directing a team of 8-10 senior engineers across multiple projects.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership.
- Collaborates across cross-functional teams and Product Management to deliver high-quality projects on time.
Pay
Hiring Range in USD: $133,100 - $306,400 per year.

About the Role
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications, operating systems, and databases according to provided design specifications. You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. You will provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. You will recommend and justify major changes to existing products/services/processes.
