This role involves working on Kiro, an AI coding agent that transforms software development by tackling tasks end-to-end and continuously learning from its work. Engineers will collaborate with talented peers to solve unique challenges at the intersection of AI and software engineering. The position offers immediate impact through shipping features that enhance developer workflows. Candidates will have opportunities to lead and shape technical direction within a small, dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Work on orchestrating AI workflows across multiple models
  • Build context systems to enhance interaction intelligence
  • Scale systems to meet AWS's reliability and security standards
  • Ship features that improve developer workflows
  • Lead critical systems and define technical direction for new capabilities
  • Collaborate across distributed systems and AI infrastructure

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Pay

$143,700 - $194,400 per year
