Software Application Support Specialist – Senior

About the role

The Human Services Division of the Placer County Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Senior Software Application Support Specialist to provide technical and functional co-supervision of four Software Application Support Specialists. This position supports key Human Services applications, including CalHEERS, BenefitsCal, MEDS, CalSAWS, and EBT systems. The role partners with Human Services leadership and the CalSAWS consortium to support system operations, coordinate policy-driven updates, and represent Placer County at consortium meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional co-supervision of four Software Application Support Specialists
• Support system operations for CalHEERS, BenefitsCal, MEDS, CalSAWS, and EBT systems
• Coordinate policy-driven updates and represent Placer County at CalSAWS consortium meetings
• Provide user training and develop training materials
• Troubleshoot system issues and manage support tickets
• Configure user access and deliver ongoing technical support

Requirements

• Strong technical and customer support skills
• Experience supporting Human Services programs
• At least two years of hands-on CalSAWS experience
• Familiarity with Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, and General Relief programs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay

$43.15 - $53.88 per hour
