SOF Business Analyst
About the role
An experienced Business Analyst is sought to support a technology transformation initiative and other strategic IT projects. This role will focus on delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Management solutions while partnering with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, document user stories, support testing efforts, and drive project delivery within Agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, meetings, and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Create process flows, business process models, UML diagrams, and BPMN documentation.
- Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability within Azure DevOps.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test cases and coordinating testing activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute within Scrum and Feature Driven Design environments.
- Provide recommendations on business analysis best practices and process optimization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience as an IT Business Analyst on software development initiatives.
- Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Experience analyzing business processes and identifying inefficiencies.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for backlog management.
- Experience developing and executing User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Feature Driven Design.
- Versatile verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform, business process modeling and process improvement expertise, experience utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools, knowledge of cloud technologies and enterprise architecture, government or public-sector experience, experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale initiatives, and certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).

Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually. Final compensation is determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, and market conditions.
Schedule
This role is partially remote, with some travel required to the office in Tallahassee, Florida.
