About the role

The Department of Sociology at California State University, Fullerton invites applications for a part-time lecturer pool. We seek experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in various Sociology courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sociology 300: Social Work
• Teach Sociology 305: Social Work Practice
• Teach Sociology 308: Writing for Sociology
• Teach Sociology 325: The American Drug Scene
• Teach Sociology 345: Sociology of Communication
• Teach Sociology 350: Social Relationships and Emotions
• Teach Sociology 353: Sociology of Children & Youth
• Teach Sociology 365: Law and Society
• Teach Sociology 385: Family Violence
• Teach Sociology 410: Theories of Social Behavior
• Teach Sociology 411: Criminology
• Teach Sociology 413: Juvenile Delinquency
• Teach Sociology 415: Mass Incarceration

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Sociology or a related field
• Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students

• Experience working with diverse populations
• Fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment
• Relevant work experience
• Professional capabilities

Pay and Schedule

Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month. Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month.
