About the role

We are looking for a social-facilitative coordinator to work across the Youth Area of Social Services and help strengthen case management for young people in Copenhagen. The position is anchored in the Youth Area of Din Sociale Indgang, specifically in our Ung HUF department, which consists of 18 social-facilitative authority caseworkers handling cases for young people with brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and physical handicaps.

As a social-facilitative coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting professional development, ensuring quality in case management, and working across authority areas to create cohesive efforts for young people in Copenhagen.

About us

Our Youth Area comprises 80 employees across four departments, providing holistic case management for citizens aged 18 to 30. Our goal is to create the best conditions for young people with disabilities, vulnerabilities, or mental health challenges to live lives with quality, mastery, and development.

We are an authority area that assesses and clarifies young citizens' needs for support measures under the Service Act, ensuring a smooth transition to adult life. We work from a rehabilitative approach, involving young people based on recovery principles. We prioritize a holistic effort, focusing on meaningful daily activities, social life, employment, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high professional quality and coherence in our work through mentoring, advice, and coordination of complex cases.
  • Contribute to structured case management and handle complex cases, ensuring coherence and high professional quality in all aspects of case processing.
  • Actively participate in various professional forums, both internally and externally, to support our professional development.
  • Support the department head in professional leadership to ensure the best possible efforts for the citizens we serve.

Requirements

  • A strong professional profile with solid experience in the authority area and a passion for working with young people.
  • A social-facilitative education, such as a social worker, social educator, or equivalent.
  • Experience with case management and knowledge of the target groups (young people with brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and physical handicaps).
  • Ability to communicate knowledge and create learning through mentoring and guidance.
  • A motivating and coaching approach to colleagues.
  • Thrive in a coordinating role and can navigate a complex daily environment.

Benefits

The position is a permanent full-time role with a workweek of 37 hours. You will be employed under the collective agreement for social workers, social educators, and/or the HK collective agreement for administration and IT.

Pay

Salary is determined in accordance with the relevant collective agreement.

Schedule

Daytime work schedule. The position is expected to be filled by October 1, 2026.
