Social Worker Supervisor I/II
The Colusa County Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Social Worker Supervisor I/II to oversee social workers in the child welfare program, covering services such as emergency response, family reunification, family maintenance, and permanent planning. This role also provides general oversight for ancillary programs including Resource Family Approval, Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, Commercially Sexually Exploited Children, and the Indian Child Welfare Act.

This supervisory position manages all aspects of the child welfare program and related services. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) operates on a 37.5-hour full-time work week with flexible scheduling options, including potential remote work (1-2 days per week) after completing a probationary period.

Responsibilities
- Oversee social workers assigned to the child welfare program.

- Provide general oversight for ancillary programs such as Resource Family Approval, Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, Commercially Sexually Exploited Children, and the Indian Child Welfare Act.
Qualifications
Social Worker Supervisor I
- Three years of full-time journey-level social work case management experience as a Social Worker II in an Interagency Merit System (IMS) county.
- One year of graduate work in social work or counseling may substitute for one year of the required experience.
- OR one year of full-time advanced journey-level social work case management experience as a Social Worker III in an IMS county.
Social Worker Supervisor II
- One year of full-time experience performing duties comparable to a Social Worker III or IV classification.
- A master’s degree in Social Work or a master’s degree from a two-year counseling program.
Qualifying social work case management includes direct case work such as assessment, evaluation, investigations of abuse and neglect, preparing court reports, and related responsibilities.
