About the role

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible.

Duties

  • Administer information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of service provided to patients.
  • Develop and implement information systems to track service activities related to the implementation of the Recovery model and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide clinical supervision to accomplish implementation of recovery-oriented, direct service.
  • Implement policies & procedures from National Recovery Coordinator (NRC).
  • Provide oversight and guidance on recovery-based programs and interventions in all Mental Health programs within CAVHCS.
  • Train providers within CAVHCS on recovery and evaluate implementation.
  • Educate Veterans & their families on recovery and evaluate implementation.
  • Facilitate and support recovery services (advisory boards, consumer councils, peer support services etc).

Requirements

The Local Recovery Coordinator Social Worker will function to do the following:

  • Train providers within CAVHCS on recovery and evaluate implementation.
  • Educate Veterans & their families on recovery and evaluate implementation.

Qualifications

  • Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
  • Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship; May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation; Grade Determinations.
  • Preferred Experience: At least two years of experience post advanced practice clinical licensure, with one year equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in a specialized area of social work practice.

Pay and Schedule

Pay: Commensurate with experience.

Schedule: 0800-1630.
