Social Worker (LSW) - Co-Responder Social Service Unit

Role Overview This position involves providing crisis intervention, assessment, stabilization, and case management services within the community, collaborating closely with law enforcement and other community resources. The role includes supervising licensed social workers, offering clinical oversight, and ensuring clients are connected to ongoing mental health, substance use, or support services to promote community safety and stability. Field response to community crises is a key component, with multiple daily community visits to deliver mobile mental and behavioral health services. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in IllinoisBachelor's Degree in Social WorkMinimum of 3 years related experience preferredValid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travelStrong de-escalation, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to work with diverse age groups and maintain confidentialityKnowledge of mental health laws and compliance standards Key Responsibilities Conduct crisis assessments using motivational interviewing and intervention techniquesEnsure safety, appropriate resolution, and least restrictive interventions during crisesCollaborate with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and community providersMaintain accurate documentation and case recordsProvide direct counseling, follow-up case management, and resource educationAdhere to all policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
