About the Role
The LMSW conducts individual, family, and/or group therapy, administers and interprets psychological tests/assessments, and conducts clinical interviews and psychosocial evaluations to determine the needs of residents served. They assist in developing treatment plans and behavioral plans, provide therapy for substance use, chronic stress, and trauma, and assist with de-escalation. The LMSW documents and files in the medical chart, participates in staff training and meetings, and maintains certifications in Mandt, CPR, and first aid. They also maintain a valid driver's license and liability insurance to drive a state vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Conducts individual, family, and/or group therapy
- Administers and interprets psychological tests/assessments
- Conducts clinical interviews and psychosocial evaluations
- Assists in developing treatment and behavioral plans
- Provides therapy for substance use, chronic stress, and trauma
- Assists with de-escalation
- Documents and files in the medical chart
- Participates in staff training and meetings
- Maintains certifications in Mandt, CPR, and first aid
- Participates in intake and diagnostic interviews to collect psychological data
- Prepares detailed reports of observations, test findings, and other data
- Participates in conferences with medical, clinical, and other staff members
- Provides leadership to resident living staff during special procedure incidents
- Conducts weekly training for resident living staff
- Maintains resident information using Microsoft programs, Skype, Outlook, etc.
Qualifications
- Licensed in Mississippi with a master's degree from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Clinically qualified by training with 3-5 years of directly related experience
- 2 years of experience working with mentally ill children/adolescents
Skills
- Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft, Skype, Outlook, etc.)
- Familiarity with structured therapy models: SPARCS, TFCBT, CBT, Matrix, and other evidence-based or best practices
Annual Salary: $49,296-$52,416
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
