The hospital features 291 acute-care beds, the San Diego Spine & Joint Center, a highly credentialed acute rehabilitation center, a modern cardiac catheterization lab, comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, and behavioral health services on both the hospital and Bayview campuses.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling for Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Older Adults, and their significant others to address social and emotional challenges.
- Offer information, referrals, and assistance for financial aid and supportive services related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma.
- Conduct case management and milieu management, including psychosocial assessments and development/re-evaluation of Treatment Plans.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate discharge planning.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical records for each client throughout their stay.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Clinical Counseling.
- In states with licensure requirements, licensure must be obtained upon hire and maintained in accordance with state regulations.
- Minimum one (1) year of Inpatient or Outpatient experience with an emphasis in mental health care.
- Experience working with a diverse population addressing issues such as death and dying, maternal and childcare, substance abuse, disability, and chronic illness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate upon hire.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $28.62 to $42.47 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Schedule
Per Diem, variable shift.
