Social Worker I MSW

About the role

The MUSC Health inpatient Social Worker assesses psychosocial needs and applies interventions to support the patient’s medical treatment plan. They enhance patient and family/caregiver functioning and emotional well-being, and coordinate care to improve the patient experience and achieve collaborative goals.

Responsibilities

• Affirm and apply interventions to support the patient’s medical treatment plan
• Collaborate and coordinate care to enhance the patient experience and achieve collaborative goals
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate patient goals and care plans
• Train, guide, and mentor staff and physicians on managing complex psychosocial patient issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
• BSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners
• Certification in case management preferred

Qualifications
