About the role
The Harborview Medical Center Social Work Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Social Work Supervisor for the Foster Care Assessment Program to join the Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center (HATC).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and program consultation, management oversight, and monitoring of program outcomes to ensure that services are delivered in a timely manner in accordance with the Washington State DCYF standards and contract.
- Facilitate periodic Review Team/Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and communicate with consultants regarding program needs.
- Perform FCAP program-specific social worker duties, including completing assessments, consultations, and providing follow-up.
- Ensure that the content in the FCAP reports demonstrates a thorough analysis of child safety, permanency, and well-being.
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to addressing systemic oppression in serving diverse populations.
- Provide feedback and evaluation of identified goals and performance expectations of FCAP personnel.
- Report to state funders and DCYF administrators on program outcomes and any barriers to achieving outcomes.
Requirements
- A minimum of four years’ experience in child welfare or a related field.
- Experience in presenting and/or training on child welfare related topics.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to gather information for the purpose of providing a sophisticated written analysis of complex permanency dilemmas.
- Experience supervising and/or managing a team/employees.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in collaborative work with DCYF and other community professionals and agencies.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of foster care and permanency planning standards in the child welfare system.
Qualifications
- A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education AND four years of full-time professional social work experience.
- Two years of this experience must have been in a health care setting.
Skills
Strong candidates will have at least 4 years of experience in assessing the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in the child welfare system.

Pay
Pay Range: Minimum $51.48 hourly, Maximum $78.21 hourly.
