Foster Care Supervisor
About the role
Responsible for the day-to-day functioning of direct child welfare (foster care, adoption and/or licensing) workers. Provide clinical supervision and performance support.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical supervision to direct staff weekly
- Review reports for grammar as well as content in compliance with rules and policies
- Attend court hearings and testify in court as needed
- Facilitate team meetings to deliver essential information to staff
- Absorb and transport clients as needed
- Coordinate service and advocate for services for families with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Court
- Compile data to report on contractual requirements at least quarterly
- Drive for Agency business
Requirements
- Four years of experience in a child welfare agency, a child caring institution or in an agency performing a child welfare function is required
- One year of prior foster care supervisory experience is required
Qualifications
- A Bachelor Degree through an accredited college/university and four years of experience in a child welfare agency, a child caring institution or in an agency performing child welfare function is required
- A Master Degree through an accredited college/university and two years of experience in a child welfare agency, a child caring institution or in an agency performing child welfare function is preferred
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to successfully manage conflict between clients as well as staff
- Ability to read and interpret policy and procedures
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize many time sensitive tasks
- Support and promote a positive work place culture

Pay
Annual Salary Range $55,000.00-$64,342.22
