Social Work - School Social Worker - $50-56 per hour

About the role

This is an in‑person, local contract School Social Worker position in Aurora, IL, serving middle school and transition‑aged students. The role starts early December 2026 (approximately 12/07/2026) for a 26‑week contract, with the possibility of extension into the 2027‑2028 school year. The schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift, full‑time (37.5–40 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group social work services to students
• Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs
• Develop and implement appropriate IEP goals and interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
• Maintain required documentation and monitor student progress
• Support transition‑aged students as they build skills for greater independence and post‑school success

Requirements

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Master's degree in Social Work
• School‑based experience preferred
• Experience supporting students with diverse social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs preferred
