Social Work - Adjunct Faculty

About the role

The position requires teaching Introduction to Social Work and Human Behavior in the Social Environment courses at CCBC. Responsibilities include facilitating learning via preparation and delivery of instruction, cooperation with College support staff, and coordination with the Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills department and college responsibilities as directed by the Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator.
• Absides by College wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct.
• Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population.
• Adheres to the scheduled time of class.
• Develops a course syllabus that is in keeping with program and College policies.
• Safeguards that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner.
• Maintains that assessment/evaluation methods are appropriate and effectively assessing the established course objectives.
• Maintains monitoring of student performance on a regular basis and provides feedback within a reasonable timeframe to students.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
• Licensure as an LCSW-C, LCSW, or LMSWA minimum of five (5) years of experience as a social worker.
• Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior online and/or remote synchronous college teaching experience.
• Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems.
• Two (2) years teaching experience, college teaching experience.

Pay

$1085 per credit hour.

Schedule

Teaching can be conducted on campus day, evening, weekend, remote synchronous, and/or online classes.
