About the role
Adjunct Faculty Master of Social Work, part-time position. Walden University operates on a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week (Monday–Thursday).
Responsibilities
- Training: New Faculty Members receive specific training from Walden University.
- Course Teaching: Teach courses using the eCollege platform and interact with students through discussion boards.
- Availability: Be reasonably accessible to students outside the course discussion board and provide feedback on assignments and postings.
- Residencies: Attend Residencies held domestically or internationally to teach intensives and colloquia, and facilitate school and university-wide discussions.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- PhD or DSW in the field of study or closely related field (or recognized by a country’s Ministry of Education or Counsel of Higher Education)
- MSW from a CSWE accredited institution
- 3+ years of teaching experience at the degree level of the program preferred
- 2+ years of online or technology-enabled instruction experience preferred
- 2 years of post-graduate experience with license preferred
Additional Information
- Paid per quarter or semester, depending on type of course taught and length of course
- Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law
