About the role

Adjunct Faculty Master of Social Work, part-time position. Walden University operates on a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week (Monday–Thursday).

Responsibilities

  • Training: New Faculty Members receive specific training from Walden University.
  • Course Teaching: Teach courses using the eCollege platform and interact with students through discussion boards.
  • Availability: Be reasonably accessible to students outside the course discussion board and provide feedback on assignments and postings.
  • Residencies: Attend Residencies held domestically or internationally to teach intensives and colloquia, and facilitate school and university-wide discussions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PhD or DSW in the field of study or closely related field (or recognized by a country’s Ministry of Education or Counsel of Higher Education)
  • MSW from a CSWE accredited institution
  • 3+ years of teaching experience at the degree level of the program preferred
  • 2+ years of online or technology-enabled instruction experience preferred
  • 2 years of post-graduate experience with license preferred

Additional Information

  • Paid per quarter or semester, depending on type of course taught and length of course
  • Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law
  • Opportunities for Adjunct faculty members include dissertation/doctoral study committee chair positions, research reviewing, and dissertation and doctoral study mentoring
