About the role

The Planning and Implementing Services Specialist will deliver services to enhance the quality of life for SPHA residents, focusing on education, employment, and social support to promote self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate programs and activities for low-income families and individuals, including those affected by property construction or rehabilitation.
• Work collaboratively with community agencies to provide a range of services including job training, recreation, education, legal assistance, and healthcare.
• Demonstrate grant writing skills and contribute to securing funding for program initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to foster partnerships and support SPHA's mission.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies and ensure effective implementation of programs and initiatives.
• Make public presentations and develop public relations materials to raise awareness and support for SPHA's services.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by two years of college-level courses in social work, social services, or a related field.
• A minimum of four years of increasingly responsible experience in the social services field.
