About the role
This position plays an important role in supporting children and families involved with the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS).Responsibilities
Direct support to families through transportation assistance, supervision of family time, and engagement with children and caregivers to help support safety, stability, and well-being. Frequent in-state travel required – and this job will require mornings, evenings and weekends because flexibility to meet the needs of the family is a must. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, safely supervise and transport children of various ages, and support families through positive communication, professionalism, and dependable service delivery.Requirements
Minimum of six months of work experience in human services programs or public service. Required to have a background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check.Qualifications
Strong organizational and administrative abilities. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Skills
Ability to work with all ages of children and adult clients including but limited to engagement on parenting and basic life skills, time management, strong communication and organization is preferred. Ability to work independently and collaborate with different community partners, agency staff and the families we serve.Benefits
