Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s social media presence by planning, publishing, and optimizing content across owned digital platforms.
  • Create visually appealing graphics and social posts using Canva to support campaigns, storytelling, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar that aligns messaging with organizational priorities, events, and engagement goals.
  • Monitor platform performance and audience interaction through tools such as Sprout Social, using insights to improve reach and effectiveness.
  • Research emerging social media trends, platform updates, and content formats to keep the organization’s online presence current and relevant.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate program updates, announcements, and campaigns into clear, audience-focused social content.
  • Manage the full social media workflow independently, from concept development through posting, community engagement, and performance review.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing social media channels for an organization, brand, or mission-driven initiative.
  • Strong background in developing social media content and executing campaigns that support engagement and visibility goals.
  • Proficiency with Canva for creating high-quality graphics and visual assets for digital platforms.
  • Experience using Sprout Social or similar social media management and analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of projects with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of social media strategy, platform best practices, and current digital trends.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in social media management or related field.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on insights.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Canva).
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
