Bridge Marina is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help keep our social channels active, engaging, current, and true to the brand. This hands-on role involves turning photos, video, and ideas into engaging content, tailoring it for different platforms, managing the posting schedule, and engaging with our online audience.

About the Role

The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator drives the day-to-day execution of Bridge Marina's social and digital presence. You’ll create and maintain the content calendar, transform supplied assets into engaging content, schedule posts, monitor channels, engage with followers, maintain online boat inventory, and support email and other marketing efforts. This role requires both creativity and follow-through, ensuring content moves from raw material to published post consistently and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Content & Publishing
    • Take primary responsibility for keeping Bridge Marina’s social presence engaging, organized, consistent, and on schedule.
    • Turn raw assets (photos, videos, boating moments, events, etc.) into content people want to see, including:
      • Photos and carousels
      • Instagram and Facebook Stories
      • Short-form video and Reels
      • TikTok content
      • Behind-the-scenes moments
      • Boats and boating experiences
      • Member and guest experiences
      • Team moments
      • Events and happenings
      • Boating tips and quick how-to content
      • Seasonal and real-time content
      • Promotional content
    • Develop and maintain the social content calendar.
    • Review incoming assets and identify strong angles, moments, and stories.
    • Perform straightforward photo and video editing as needed.
    • Write engaging captions, hooks, headlines, and calls to action.
    • Schedule and publish content, maintaining a high-quality, high-quantity cadence.
    • Ensure content is completed and published on time.
    • Coordinate content around promotions, events, and business needs.
    • Identify and fill gaps in the content calendar by proactively working with teammates.
    • Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and reusable assets.
    • Check scheduled and published content for accuracy, links, and formatting.
    • Respond to routine social comments and questions.
  • Create for the Platform
    • Adapt content, copy, format, and presentation for each platform, including:
      • Instagram
      • Facebook
      • TikTok
      • YouTube
      • LinkedIn
      • Google Business Profiles
      • X and Threads
    • Work with the marketing team to improve how Bridge Marina shows up on each platform.
  • Social Engagement, Listening, and Reputation
    • Monitor comments, tags, and mentions.
    • Engage appropriately with followers and relevant accounts.
    • Identify and organize user-generated content.
    • Monitor online reviews and relevant boating/local conversations.
    • Identify real-time content and engagement opportunities.
    • Escalate sensitive customer service or brand-safety issues when needed.
  • Boat Inventory Content & Listings
    • Ensure boats for sale are presented online accurately and attractively.
    • Gather inventory photos and assets from sales and on-site teams.
    • Select, edit, and organize listing photography.
    • Write clear, appealing boat descriptions.
    • Create and maintain online boat inventory listings.
    • Update pricing, availability, and listing details as needed.
    • Remove sold inventory promptly.
    • Identify listings needing better photos or descriptions and request additional assets.
    • Maintain an organized library of boat and inventory content.
  • Collaboration
    • Develop strong communication with teammates across the boating club, boat rental, education, sales, service, and marina operations.
    • Collaborate with the lead content creator and marketing team on larger projects and campaigns.
    • Take initiative in asking questions, requesting assets, and learning about the business.

Requirements

  • Strong eye for what makes social content engaging.
  • Ability to see the potential in raw photos or video and turn it into a finished post.
  • Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Knowledge of platform-specific approaches and content adaptation.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve content workflows while maintaining human judgment for what gets published.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage and schedule a high volume of content.
  • Proactive mindset—planning ahead and filling content gaps.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Works well independently without constant supervision.
  • Comfortable asking questions and seeking information.
  • Good judgment about what should (and shouldn’t) be published.
  • Enjoys collaborative work.
  • Interest in learning about boating and the experiences Bridge Marina provides.

Skills

Experience with some combination of the following is helpful:

  • Social media management and content creation
  • Short-form video editing (Reels, TikTok)
  • Basic photo editing (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
  • Social media scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, etc.)
  • YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business Profiles
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Product or inventory listings
  • Writing product or inventory descriptions
  • Social and digital analytics
  • Organizing photo and video libraries
  • AI tools for efficiency, ideation, or content workflows
