About the Role

The Social Media & Influencer Marketing Coordinator supports Tillys’ social media, creator, influencer, affiliate, and social commerce initiatives. This highly hands-on role combines content creation, community and creator engagement, campaign execution, trend identification, and performance reporting to grow Tillys’ social presence and relevance with our consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media & Content
    • Support the planning, execution, and growth of Tillys’ social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms.
    • Assist the Social Media Manager with maintaining the social content calendar and partnering with Marketing, Creative, E-commerce, and other teams to ensure timely content delivery aligned with campaign launches and business priorities.
    • Create original, platform-native social content, including photography, short-form video, behind-the-scenes content, product storytelling, and trend-driven content.
    • Capture and edit photo and video content for social channels using DSLR or equivalent cameras and mobile devices.
    • Work both behind and in front of the camera as needed, supporting content creation through photography, videography, and on-camera participation.
    • Contribute new social concepts, content series, activations, and platform-specific ideas to increase engagement, audience growth, and brand relevance.
    • Monitor social and cultural trends, emerging platforms, viral formats, creators, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for authentic participation.
    • Support community engagement and identify opportunities to build stronger relationships with Tillys’ social audience.
  • Influencer, Creator & Affiliate Marketing
    • Support the day-to-day management and growth of Tillys’ influencer, creator, and affiliate programs.
    • Identify and evaluate creators and influencers based on brand fit, audience relevance, engagement, content quality, and performance.
    • Manage creator communications throughout campaigns, including outreach, briefing, contracting, product selection, content deadlines, approvals, usage rights, and follow-up.
    • Partner with the PR agency to coordinate product seeding, gifting, paid creator partnerships, and e-commerce product transfers.
    • Maintain accurate tracking of influencer partnerships, contracts, content deliverables, budgets, and campaign performance.
    • Track influencer and affiliate KPIs and support monthly budget and performance reviews with the Social Media Manager.
    • Assist in developing new partnerships with creators, artists, athletes, cultural talent, and brands to strengthen Tillys’ relevance with its target consumer.
  • TikTok Shop & Social Commerce
    • Support creator and affiliate activity for TikTok Shop, including Creator Center/Affiliate Center management, product seeding, creator recruitment, campaign participation, and performance tracking.
    • Identify high-performing creators and content and recommend opportunities to scale partnerships and amplify content through organic and paid channels.
    • Stay current on evolving social commerce capabilities and identify opportunities to drive engagement, traffic, and revenue through social platforms.
  • Events & Activations
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team and PR agency to plan and execute influencer and creator events.
    • Support influencer identification, outreach, event concepts, product seeding, content opportunities, and event logistics.
    • Help maximize social content and creator amplification before, during, and after events.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on social media, influencer, affiliate, and social commerce performance.
    • Track key metrics including audience growth, engagement, reach, views, traffic, creator performance, affiliate sales, and campaign effectiveness.
    • Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations to improve future content and creator strategies.
    • Research social media, influencer marketing, youth culture, and platform trends and regularly share relevant insights and opportunities with the Social Media team.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, influencer/creator marketing, digital marketing, or a related field; retail, fashion, lifestyle, or youth-focused brand experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Facebook, and emerging social platforms.
  • Hands-on experience creating short-form social content, including photography and videography.
  • Working knowledge of DSLR or equivalent cameras and mobile-first content creation.
  • Experience with video/photo editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing, affiliate programs, TikTok Shop, and social commerce is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working with performance metrics and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication, organization, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, creators, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of social trends, pop culture, fashion, creators, and youth culture.
  • Creative, curious, highly collaborative, and comfortable bringing forward new ideas.

Work Environment

This role operates in a typical office environment with low-level noise exposure. It may also involve Marketing Event environments with potential for mid- to high-level noise exposure. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Pay

Hourly Range: $20–$25/hr. Final offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
