Social Media Content Creator
Position Overview
The Social Media Content Creator will concept, capture, and produce social-first content across a spectrum of formats, from highly produced shoots to raw, real-time, mobile-first storytelling. This is a creator role and is expected to think like a junior field producer or reality-style storyteller, constantly identifying moments, personalities, and narratives across the property and turning them into engaging, platform-native content. This position will operate with a strong point of view, a deep understanding of internet culture, and an instinct for what will resonate. This role requires a balance of creativity, speed, and execution, equally comfortable producing polished assets and scrappy, in-the-moment content.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Concept, shoot, and edit social-first content end-to-end with a strong, distinct point of view
- Operate with a “creator mindset”—producing content that feels native to the platform, not overly branded or overly polished
- Identify and develop recurring content franchises as well as one-off moments that capitalize on real-time opportunities
- Function as a junior field producer—actively seeking out stories, personalities, and moments across the property
- Capture content using a mix of tools including iPhone, action cameras (e.g., Osmo), Meta glasses, and professional systems, selecting the right tool based on platform, speed, and creative intent
- Create a wide range of content formats including short-form video, memes, carousels, interviews, trend-driven content, and reactive social posts
- Produce UGC-style content that feels authentic, immediate, and culturally relevant
- Stay deeply embedded in internet culture, trends, and platform behaviors—actively participating in and contributing to emerging trends
- Understand the nuances of each platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) and tailor content, pacing, and storytelling accordingly
- Balance planned content tied to campaigns and calendars with opportunistic, real-time content creation
- Edit content with strong pacing, humor, tone, and storytelling instincts using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
- Process and color grade footage and photography as needed for social delivery
- Capture and deliver real-time event coverage with quick turnaround as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Social, Brand Marketing, and Creative teams while maintaining the ability to independently generate and execute ideas
- Maintain organization of footage, assets, and deliverables
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in film, media, design, marketing, or related field and/or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience creating social-first video content in hospitality, lifestyle, entertainment, or similar environments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first storytelling, not just visuals—must include examples of trend-based, UGC-style, and narrative-driven content
- Proven ability to operate as a self-starter—identifying and executing content ideas without heavy direction
- Deep understanding of social platforms and content formats across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
- Demonstrated ability to create both franchise content (repeatable series) and one-off reactive or viral moments
- Comfortable shooting across a range of devices (iPhone, action cameras, wearable tech, and professional systems)
- Strong editing skills with a focus on pacing, engagement, and platform-native storytelling
- Strong creative instincts and a clear point of view—ability to determine what makes content compelling vs. simply aesthetic
- This is not a role for purely technical shooters/editors. Candidates must demonstrate strong creative instincts, cultural awareness, and the ability to think and operate like a content creator
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of social media marketing principles, strategies, and tactics across various channels, including digital, social media, and events
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
