About the role

The Carboncopies Foundation is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the science and technology of whole brain emulation. This remote volunteer position involves creating engaging social media content tailored to various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and produce engaging social media content including text captions, images, videos, and infographics tailored to each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Discord etc.).
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and identity across all social media channels to enhance brand presence and loyalty.
  • Plan and maintain a content calendar to ensure regular and timely posts that align with marketing goals and campaigns.
  • Monitor and respond to audience interactions in a timely manner to foster engagement and community growth.
  • Track the performance of social media content using analytics tools, and adjust strategies based on insights to improve engagement, reach, and follower growth.
  • Work closely with other departments to align content with company goals and campaigns.
  • Interact with followers and manage online communities to foster engagement and brand loyalty.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of key social media platforms and their content formats.
  • Deep knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy.
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or equivalent editing software.
  • Proven experience in creating engaging content on different social media platforms—Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube etc.
  • Ability to turn a concept into compelling content.
  • Ability to incorporate our brand voice and identity in digital content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and a strong visual eye.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Time Commitment

1 hour weekly organization meeting
1 hour weekly team meeting
1 hour daily co-working sessions
Approximately 5 – 10 hours / week
At least 5 months
