Social Content Producer
About the role
Instacart is already a key part of people's everyday lives—we're in their kitchens, their routines, and their biggest moments—and we have the opportunity to earn the same place in their feeds. That's the opportunity this role exists to unlock. We're looking for someone who instinctively understands social, moves at the speed of culture, and sees creative potential in every grocery moment. The person who joins our team will help define what our brand looks, sounds, and feels like on social for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Build a repeatable, fast-moving content engine that resonates with our audiences and builds our brand on social.
- Create a signature social franchise, format, or cultural moment that becomes a defining example of what's possible for Instacart. This becomes something people across the company reference when they talk about great social.
- Expand our creative capacity by cultivating a strong network of freelance creators, production partners, and agencies, making it possible to produce more great work at scale.
- Build the muscle for reactive content that’s timely, on-brand, and worth watching. As a result, Instacart becomes a brand that consistently shows up in culture at moments that are most important to our audience.
Requirements
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates your understanding of what great platform-native content looks like.
- Hands-on editing skills in CapCut and native platform tools; you can take a piece from concept to publish without a production team, fast.
- Ability to turn around reactive content in hours when a moment calls for it, without sacrificing quality.
- Strong visual and creative judgment—you know when something should feel lo-fi, editorial, or designed, and you make that call confidently.
- Immersed in pop and food culture with a strong instinct for when our brand should join a cultural conversation or moment.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience working directly with creators and influencers, from brief to final post.
- Preferred: Familiarity with how SEO applies to social content and discoverability.
- Preferred: Some exposure to gifting or PR-driven creator amplification campaigns.
Pay
This role is remote, and the base pay range is dependent on the candidate’s permanent work location. Offers may vary based on candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
