Job Title: SNAP Specialist Position Overview SNAP Specialist: a meaningful role helping families in Far Rockaway and the Five Towns. We are hiring a case worker for a nutrition navigator program serving Far Rockaway and the Five Towns. You will guide community members through SNAP eligibility and applications and help families get the food support they qualify for. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Key Responsibilities Help community members apply for SNAP (food stamp) benefitsAdvocate for clients to receive and maintain their SNAP benefitsEducate the community about SNAP eligibility and benefitsParticipate in community events and strengthen local partnershipsMaintain a database of client information and outreach activities and complete reports as needed Qualifications SNAP Specialist: here is what you need to bring.
