About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment, material handling equipment, and building systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of facility equipment, machinery, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and facility-related issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Complete preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules.
- Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure proper operation.
- Assist with coordinating and monitoring work performed by outside contractors.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and complies with company safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to prevent equipment failures and support operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical or Trade School certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, or facility maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings, diagrams, and instructions.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work alternative shifts as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and in varying environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet when required.
Pay
Starting pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule
Day Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
