Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides therapeutic, diagnostic, prophylactic and palliative respiratory care to patients of all ages and in all units or departments of hospital. Respiratory Care is provided under the supervision of a physician Medical Director, Department Manager and Department Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Documentation of all care provided in the medical record
• Maintenance of Respiratory Care equipment and supplies
• Assistance in orientation of new employees
• Following all organizational, departmental, and regulatory policies, procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of [State]
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
